Are you open to love? If you saw it coming your way, would you know? Could you point love out in a crowd or would you pass right by it without even noticing?
Since the beginning of time, we’ve obsessed about love. In the old days, love was about courtship. Love was an expression of one’s devotion and intent to become a suitor.
On the day of the last full moon I was thinking about the cosmological movement of Venus as she was making her transit across the sun. This event is something that happens only once in one hundred years or so. I’m thinking it means something very special to you and I, her transit. I read an interpretation of the phenomenon that explained Venus represents the love of the Divine Feminine while the Sun represents the nourishing light and energy of the Divine Masculine.
Over 5000 years ago the Incas cultivated the grain-like seed quinoa as one of their staple crops. Sacred to the Incas, quinoa was referred to by them as, ‘the mother of all grains’.
Researcher Philip White, in an obscure 1955 article on “Edible Seed Products of the Andes Mountains says,
“While no single food can supply all the essential life sustaining nutrients, quinoa comes as close as any other in the plant or animal kingdom.”
There is a gorgeous full moon in Virgo rising and blessing us with her moonlight. The full moon invites us to release all that dims our light, all that holds us back in the space of our heart and physical environment.
